What is ZNE?

 

A Zero Net Energy (ZNE) commercial building produces as much energy from on-site renewable sources as it consumes, thus moving toward a goal of total energy independence.  ZNE can be achieved through a variety of renewable technologies and practices, including:

  • High performance design
  • Cutting-edge energy efficiency measures
  • Solar photovoltaic (PV) systems
  • Self-generating power
