Sacramento Municipal Utility District’s Commercial Services department draws upon its fourteen energy specialists to manage new-construction and retrofit projects. Drawing from diverse backgrounds including nuclear plant operations, refrigeration engineering, electrical engineering, electrical trades, mechanical engineering, plant maintenance, and mechanical trades, the average specialist has over ten years of energy efficiency experience and most are Certified Energy Managers. For complex designs, SMUD Commercial Services department will use its in-house licensed and LEED accredited architects, licensed electrical and mechanical engineers, and LC certified lighting designer.
